Next stop on the “We Are Acimac” tour, with eight Italian companies exhibiting
We Are Acimac, the group brand developed by Acimac to support and promote outstanding Italian technology in the world’s leading ceramic markets, is continuing on its global tour. These Italian companies will be taking part in the fourth Ceramic Expo Bangladesh, one of the leading events of the ceramic industry in southern Asia, scheduled to run at the International Convention City Bashundhara, in Dhaka, from 27 to 30 November.
The collective exhibition organised by Acimac will be featuring names like Airpower, Certech Group, Gruppo TecnoFerrari, Mectiles Italia, Officine Smac, Poppi Clementino, Sacmi, and System Ceramics, which will be showcasing advanced technology for a fast-evolving market in that is increasingly oriented towards innovation. Alongside the Italian businesses, visitors will also find the Tecna stand, which will be promoting the 2026 fair, due to be held in Rimini.
“I am extremely pleased to be welcoming the Italian delegation, led by Acimac, to Dhaka for the Ceramic Expo Bangladesh“– stated Antonio Alessandro, Italian ambassador to Bangladesh – Italian technology and skills have helped the budding Bangladeshi ceramic industry grow and our firms have so much more to offer this emerging, opportunity-rich market. The fair will be a useful occasion to renew interest in the quality offered by Italian machinery and to forge new partnerships”.
The event will be bringing together industry members from over 25 countries comprising over 120 exhibitors and more than 25 thousand visitors. Representatives for over 300 global brands are expected, all operating in the manufacture of materials, technologies, and machinery for ceramics. The event has proved to be a prime opportunity to connect with buyers, investors, and manufacturers interested in growing the sector in a country which has been recording constant industrial growth over recent yeas.
Bangladesh now ranks thirteenth among tile manufacturers worldwide, with an output of 237 million square metres and 3% increase in 2024 on the previous year. The outlook for market is particularly positive, with domestic production estimated to increase, on average, by 8.6% each year by 2029, supported by a combination of skilled labour, low production costs, and availability of sulphur-free natural gas, all of which makes the country a key partner for the global ceramics supply chain.
Taking part in Ceramic Expo Bangladesh is a significant opportunity to consolidate Italy’s presence in an expanding market, to foster new business relationships and to reinforce the position of all-Italian technology. The event confirms We Are Acimac’s vital role in supporting its members internationalisation efforts, by creating opportunities for connection and visibility on leading international platforms.
